...The WBT$ Theft of Kingdom Hall Bank Accounts and JW Elders...

.. the new wbt$ donation arrangement/ jw kingdom hall bank account theft... is a very hot topic right now... the wbt$ is literally going to clean out kingdom hall bank accounts,filled with donations from jws... that theft is going to happen world wide..the wbt$ is going to steal from 7 million plus jw`s... .. we have jw elders here on jwn,that know whats going on... they "serve" in kingdom halls,they are "supposed" to be looking after the welfare of the average jw... they know there is a 4 page letter,only one page will be read to the congregation..the rest will be kept secret... they know the wbt$ is about to steal jw donations..on a world wide scale!!!...

.. i would like to know what you active jw elders are going to do about this??!!...

are you going to let "your" congregation know about the other 3 secret pages?...

Vacation Destination: Looking for Input

so when the kids get out of school we plan on going away for 3 to 4 weeks for vacation but we want to go somewhere that is actually enjoyable and not just packed full of things for the kids to do.

cruises are out, to confining.

i live in the u.s. so i want to abroad an continue to get the kids passports stamped so they can be exposed to as many cultures as possible.. .

I like Japan, but I have only been there once, on a Society Tour.

I went into several small neighborhood places to eat. My skin is English, Scottish, white. I got looked at. But thinking back at entering these local spots, maybe it was like visiting a KHall on vacation and just sitting anywhere. Old timer's sometimes have their "spot" and are upset if someone else is sitting in their chair and everyone knows who sits, where, etc Just saying. lol

We tourists must be a constant delight of free entertainment to locals , where ever we are. lol

When I was in Taiwan, we were told that there were some JW families, that were down from the North who were not accustomed to seeing
" white " people. At that convention, I got felt, touched, on my hair and on my skin. It was the only time it had happened to me. I could tell they were curious.

As a little girl of 4 or 5, at our circuit assembly, I remember seeing an African American family with small children, shorter than me. I made my way over to them, and casually touched their hair. It was surprisingly soft. I did it just that once. But I had to do it! I was quite fascinated with the little girls hair. It was so different from mine.

In Ghana the sisters wear beautiful long flowing tribal dresses, with matching, towering head cloth turbans. They and their husbands look stately and beautiful. With my JW group we met the Ashante King, and he was presented with WT literature.

ConfusedandAlone ... I do not know what to say to the ignorance of these, hopefully few, offensive people of Japan, who said such outlandish things!

There is no excuse!!!

Japanese people themselves during and after war time would be called apes, monkeys, and many other derogatory words.

That they would act this way to guests in their country...

I am so sorry this dishonoring act by a so-called polite society, would have happened to anyone.

If this was feudal Japan, and you were a guest, your sponsor, your host could legally chop off the head of someone who dishonored his guest(s).

To dishonor his guest, was to dishonor him.

Honor is everything in Japan, or was.

Maybe these people who said such things, were , unfortunately, mentally diseased.

Jgnat ... lol ... I have thought about going to Inner Mongolia (which I can spell) or visiting, Kaka- kak -a- stan , or something like that. lol

Karter mentioning New Zealand, sounds good. I have been to NZ as a JW drone. It was fun for me to drive on the other side of the road. (Yikes! lol )

The Maori's, their personalities and culture, were wonderful to experience.

I honestly believed, JW's were a worldwide Brotherhood.

That teaching fit my personality.

Now, I know there are wonderful normal people all over the world, to rub shoulders with, that are intelligent with education and or life, that I would rather spend my valuable time with.

If you have the time and the means to go, it would be a hard decision to make. A Treehouse, a Greek Isle, or ...

----->> Come on Jgnat. Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan? and ? ?? Was that a joke? I have stayed at the Temple Gardens and if you are driving through Saskatchewan, I suggest it as a place to spend the night. We stayed in the "luxury mineral Jacuzzi suite with the king size bed". The huge bathtub, was filled with piped from a distance, heated mineral water, it had sediment in it, but no odor. Soaking in its hot water, felt heavenly. I did not want to leave it. The comfort and coziness of the bed was something I still think about. It was very, very pleasant. Swimming in the indoor pool, then going from there, swimming through the "wall" to the sunny outside was joyous for me. It was a happy experience all around. I actually woke up in the middle of the night and called the front desk to ask if this room was available for the next night... "I am so sorry. It is already booked. The whole hotel is booked", he said. : ( It was without a doubt the best sleep I have ever had in my life.

Jgnat , you are in Alberta. Aren't there great scenic Horse back packing trips? A few hours, or overnight, 3 day, 5 day, 7 day etc. custom packages? Fishing, canoeing, camping out in the Canadian Rockies?

If you have roots in Western Africa, I would imagine you would feel the pull, to go there.

Have fun where ever you go.

as kid i remember a break of 15 minutes between the public talk and the wt study.

all the new ones and "weak" ones ran out to smoke.

loved to see the attendant round them up to come back in when the droning began again.

Some posts are painful, and this is one.

At a young married, I moved far away, to an area, I would never have chosen, surrounded by people, who's background was 100 % different than mine. It was not for the better. They were a strange species to me, as I was a curiosity to them.

The only thing we had in common, was religion.

Those 15 minute breaks were, hell. I tried to get to the KHall as the meeting started, and tried to leave as soon as it was over, but you couldn't side step those in between minutes.

good man, but he is a jw and he just drove me to the brink of madness recently; that was the drop the spill the water.

Taking my sister to church this Sunday!!!

so yesterday i stopped by my sisters home and decided to just hang out and shoot the breeze... she was telling me that since she has stopped going to the kingdom hall (the last 9 months) she still looks for things to do on sunday.

she feels she should go and do something and she likes the idea of church.

it seems fun and will giove her a place to meet people.
